A business networking event organised by Catena along with Hucknall Nub News has been cancelled.

The event had been due to take place at the Station Hotel tomorrow evening (Wednesday 12 January).

The idea was to get Hucknall business owners together to discuss potential partnerships and make connections with like-minded people to benefit the local economy.

There are, however, plans to run a similar style event in February, details of which will be announced soon.

Speaking to Hucknall Nub News, Andy Middleton, who heads the Nottinghamshire arm of the Catena group said: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have to cancel the event at the Station Hotel for this month but will be back with a fresh date for February. Thanks, and apologies. We look forward to meeting you in February!"

Tom Surgay, Regional Editor of Hucknall Nub News said: "It is disappointing that we have had to cancel but we are already looking forward to the replacement event in February."

People who had already paid to attend the original event will be contacted in due course to arrange a full refund or to book a place at the next event.
