Police in Hucknall target areas suggested by local residents to catch speeding motorists

Hucknall Beat Team conducted a Fatal 4 Operation across the town today (Tuesday 18 January) as part of the Neighbourhood Policing Week of Action.

Fatal 4 is an operation used to tackle motorists who are: speeding; using mobile phones whilst driving and or in control of a vehicle; not wearing a seat belt; or driving whilst under the influence of drink or drugs.

Today the team have handed out a number of tickets. This included one ticket which was given to a motorist who was travelling at 41 mph in a 30 mph zone.

The team visited the following locations in Hucknall: Nottingham Road; Waterloo Road; Papplewick Lane and Farleys Lane.

These locations had all been suggested to the police as areas that they should target by members of the local community.
