Ashfield District Council has announced further details for Titchfield Park's 100th birthday celebration which takes place this Saturday (18 June).

The Council is celebrating the landmark anniversary with a huge free fun day on Titchfield Park, Hucknall from 1pm until 6pm.

There are a variety of activities and entertainment lined up for the event including live music featuring singer Ollie Hayes, the Torkard Ensemble Choir, The Jury Dogs and The Spitfires.

There will also be giant garden games; small fun fair rides (small charge will apply); a range of stalls operated by local businesses and community organisations; food stalls and a taster session from Titchfield Park Bowls Club.

Councillor John Wilmott, Ward Councillor for Hucknall North, said: "Titchfield Park is the jewel of Hucknall and this event is going to be a wonderful way to celebrate this landmark birthday. We can't wait to see Titchfield Park packed out on Saturday. There will be something for everyone to enjoy so make sure you come down!"

Councillor Lee Waters, Ward Councillor for Hucknall North, said: "Titchfield Park has been at the heart of everything that is good about Hucknall for 100 years. The park has seen significant investment in recent years with new playparks, the war memorial restoration, and a flood maintenance scheme designed by Ashfield District Council. It is only right that we mark the anniversary with one big party. I can't wait."
