The BIG Ashfield Spring Clean is coming to Hucknall this Saturday (26 March).

Part of this will see 'flying skips' (travelling bin lorries) out across Hucknall for much of the morning.

These lorries will allow residents to dispose of excess and bulky waste, toys, furniture and bric-a-brac. All they need to do is bring it along at one of the times and locations on the list below.

The locations of the flying skips are as follows:

09:30 - 10:15 Derbyshire Lane, nr West Terrace

11:30 - 12:15 Farleys Lane/Shortwood Avenue Councillor Dave Shaw, who represents Hucknall North for the Ashfield Independents said: "This is the biggest Spring Clean we have staged. Flying skips are bin wagons that will be parked in strategic points across Hucknall. This is a chance for residents to get rid of their excess waste and we'd encourage everyone in Hucknall to take advantage." As well as this, next week (W/C 28 March) Hucknall, Linby, Papplewick and Bestwood Vilaage residents will be able to put out one additional bag of household waste for kerbside collection on their designated bin day.
