Driver taken to hospital following collision with a tree in Hucknall

A man was taken to hospital following a road traffic collision in Hucknall last night (Tuesday 23 November). His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

All three emergency services attended the incident which happened on Waterloo Road at around 9:30pm.

According to a spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police: "Officers were called to a report of a road traffic collision in Waterloo Road, Hucknall, at 9.30pm last night (Tuesday, 23 November). The incident involved a Mini Cooper that had collided with a tree."

The male driver was treated at the scene by a crew from East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) and was later taken to Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham.

A spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service added: "We received a call at 9.30pm to reports of a car that had collided with a tree. Two appliances from Hucknall and Arnold attended the incident. A male was out of the vehicle by the time firefighters arrived and was being treated by EMAS. Fire crews left just after 10pm."
