East Midlands Railway (EMR) has marked the start of the New Year and 'Veganuary' by increasing the number of vegan food and drink options available to its customers.

The company which operates all services that travel to, from, and through Hucknall Station has revealed its complimentary menu for First Class customers which now has 32 vegan options, including drinks, sandwiches, wraps, biscuits, and other snacks.

Vegan options will always be available for customers who travel with EMR and therefore is also a range of vegan products to choose from in Standard Class.

Veganuary is an annual challenge run by a UK non-profit organisation that promotes and educates about veganism by encouraging people to follow a vegan lifestyle for the month of January.

Neil Grabham, Customer Services Director at East Midlands Railway, said: "We want customers to feel assured that there is a wide range of food and drink options when they travel with us.

"Vegan options are great, not only do they cater for the vegan community, but they can also be enjoyed by everyone."

Some of the vegan options available to customers include Biscoff biscuits, Piri Piri Falafel Mezze Gluten-Free Tortilla, Chunky coronation chickpea on wheat grain bread, Vegan sausages, Gluten-free/Vegan Chocolate Brownie, Yorkshire Red tea, and Orchid Grove apple juice.
