The Arc Cinema in Hucknall is running a 'heatwave special' offer on tickets over the next two days.

Temperatures are set to hit between 36 and 38 degrees in the town today (Monday 18 July) and tomorrow (Tuesday 19 July), making them the two hottest days of the year so far.

With a red weather warning issued due to the sweltering conditions and people being advised to stay out of the heat where possible, the cinema has lowered its prices to entice customers out of the heat and offer them a cool alternative in their air-conditioned screens.

All tickets will cost just £5 each throughout the day with films being shown today from 3pm, a full list of the week's timings can be found here.

Among the films being shown are Top Gun: Maverick, Elvis, Minions 2, and The Railway Children sequel.

Tickets can be booked in advance by clicking here.
