Police officers from Hucknall Beat Team conducted a Fatal 4 Operation on Moor Road, Papplewick Lane and Waterloo Road yesterday (Monday 3 January).

Fatal 4 focuses on the main contributing factors of Road Traffic Collisions: speeding; driving whilst using a mobile phone; not wearing a seatbelt; and driving whilst under the influence of drink and/or drugs.

Whilst the majority of drivers stuck to the speed limit, a number of tickets were handed out to several people speeding. The highest speed recorded saw one motorist clocked doing 46mph in a 30mph zone.

The police are always open to suggestions from local residents as to which areas of Hucknall they should conduct their operations in.

Should you wish to have your say on where you would like to see the team next time, you can email them at [email protected] or send them a message on their Facebook page which can be found here.
