A Hucknall based clothing business are relaunching this weekend.

LN Style, run by friends Laura Foster and Nina Graham are organising a pop-up shop this weekend. The shop will be in Long Eaton, outside Long Eaton Cycles on Tamworth Road. It will be open on Saturday 5th June from 10am until 2pm.

The duo struck up a friendship at antenatal classes three years ago and have been close ever since.

They decided to start the business up last year and were due to open in March, however their plans were scuppered by the Coronavirus and subsequent lockdown restrictions.

Speaking to Nub News Ms Graham said: "We were out shopping (pre-Covid) and we thought we can do this but on a much friendlier, intimate level. It's a lot to go into town especially when you've got kids. Hucknall doesn't really have too many clothes shops and we found that a lot of the high street shops had the same clothes.

"We wanted to give people a unique shopping experience, something a bit more intimate, something they can get to easier. We decided not to do it through a shop and to do it more on the move so that we were more flexible.

"Our initial thoughts were to do these pop-up shops anywhere, in our houses, in our back gardens, in business places so for example Long Eaton Cycles. We want it to be flexible so we can go to people rather than them having to travel miles and miles to get to the shops to then spend an entire day searching for something. Obviously with Covid we had to put a lot of it on pause."

The clothes that the company stock are carefully selected and offer something different to the consumer.

"It's all online and we buy basically in bulk. We haven't gone from one specific site, we've shopped around, we've really thought about what kind of style we wanted and what we think people would want.

"You won't find the clothes on the high street, they're all very unique, we've chosen them thinking of girls that want to be stylish but comfortable. We've tried all the clothes on for sizing and for comfort. We know that they're comfy, we know that they look nice and you won't find them in your high street shops which is nice because there's that awful dreaded thing of going to a party and someone's got the same dress on.

"We are specifically for women at the moment and we just chose that because to be honest women seem to shop more and it seemed to be a bigger audience but we did say about seeing how it goes and if we do get interest in other areas then branching out."

With Coronavirus restrictions beginning to ease up and down the country, Laura and Nina are hopeful that they can begin to do regular face-to-face trade after being unable to do so for the majority of the time the business has existed.

"We did manage to do one pop-up shop, it was after the first lockdown. People were still very hesitant with the restrictions. It did really well, we were busy all day and people seemed really happy, we got lots of good responses and a few nice reviews.

"We are hoping to start doing more at home pop-up shops. If people had a party or whatever we're hoping to then be able to provide them with a little pop-up shop. They can have a few drinks in their own home or gardens and we can be there if they wanted to have a look and things like that so it's just a more personal, convenient way to shop really.

"This is something we want to do as a bit of fun and hopefully in the future it'll make us a little bit of money but at the end of the day it is something we do together we are passionate about but we do have jobs and we do have kids as well."

There are plans for the company to host events in Hucknall in the near future.

"We are trying to keep it based around Hucknall. We will still do pop-up shops in Hucknall. We are still looking for other businesses that want us to do a pop-up shop around Hucknall."

If you are a business interested in partnering with LN Style or a consumer unable to attend the pop-up shop this weekend but keen to view their clothes you can do so by visiting the business' Facebook page here .
