Ashfield District Council will once again be collecting real Christmas trees for disposal from across the local area in the New Year.

Collections from properties in Hucknall will be made on Wednesday 12 January.

Residents are instructed to leave their trees out from 6am on collection day.

Any Christmas trees that are over 6 foot tall must be cut in half.

The council organises these collections every year and will also collect from Kirkby, Sutton and the Rurals during the same week.

Trees will be collected from Sutton on Monday (10 January), Kirkby on Tuesday (11 January) and Rurals on Thursday (13 January).

According to the British Christmas Tree Growers Association (BCTGA), between eight and 10 million real Christmas trees are sold in the UK each year.

In order to secure this service from Ashfield District Council, booking is required. To book please email [email protected] or call 0800 183 8484.
