Hucknall landlady reveals plans to refurbish and expand popular town centre pub by adding guest rooms
The owners of a Hucknall pub have submitted plans to transform the interior giving it the capacity to also become a guest house.
The management team at The Half Moon on South Street, want to turn the top two floors into guest rooms.
If given the green light, the excitingly ambitious plans will see each guest room have an ensuite bathroom. The owners intend to offer five double rooms, one family room and three single rooms all finished to a high specification.
They also want to offer guests evening meals and breakfast packages.
There are also grand plans for the ground floor and bar too.
Alison Dawes, the pub's landlady, spoke to Hucknall Nub News, about the other projects she hopes to undertake.
She said: "For the bar area we have great plans with the one we are most excited about is the building of a brand new kitchen on the ground floor, alongside this, the whole bar area will be renovated to a very high standard."
However, existing customers don't need to worry as all of the proposed work will not result in the pub being closed meaning they will be able to frequent the venue as normal.
Ms Dawes added: "The bar area will not be closed during this time, but will be sectioned off so we can still serve the community."
