Hucknall Town manager Andy Graves has said he is looking for a reaction from his players ahead of tomorrow's (Wednesday 29 September) home league game against Dunkirk.

The Yellows missed the opportunity to move to the top of the table on Saturday as they slumped to a disappointing 3-1 away defeat at Radford.

Joe Meakin, Ryan Smith and Jevin Seaton netted for the hosts in the first half to put the game beyond Hucknall. Jordan Phillips managed a consolation in the second half, stabbing in from close range following a clever header from Grant Ryan but it wasn't enough to spark a comeback, and the result marked only the club's second league defeat of the season.

With the top four teams in the league all in FA Vase action it was a missed opportunity for Hucknall to jump to the top of the table but they remain just two points adrift of the league leaders.

They now turn their attention to the midweek visit of midtable Dunkirk to Watnall Road. Home advantage has been critical for the Yellows so far this campaign as they find themselves unbeaten in the league at home and have collected an impressive 14 points from an available 18 on home soil so far.

Speaking to the club's website, manager Andy Graves said: "We obviously want to try and keep our home record intact so we're really keen to bounce back and we'll need to show some character in order to do that.

"We've been unbeaten for eight games (before the Radford defeat), so we certainly won't be imploding. We just need to show a bit of character and some mental strength."

Tomorrow's match kicks off at 7:45 with tickets priced at £5 for adults, £4 concessions, £1 for children under 16 and free for children under 6.
