A Hucknall retailer is offering significant discounts and the opportunity to win a one minute trolley dash around the store this month.

JTF Mega Discount Warehouse, on Daniels Way, just off Watnall Road, is offering 20% off everything in store for the rest of the month. The offer began on Saturday (8 January) and will run until Monday 31 January.

As well as this, they are also running a Facebook competition to win the chance to have a free run of the shop with a trolley for one minute, with the person being able to take home all of the items in the trolley at the end of the minute, free of charge. In order to enter, people need to visit JTF's Facebook page which can be found here , and like the competition post before commenting on the post with their name.

JTF endured a somewhat turbulent 2021 in which the chain collapsed and went into administration. This saw all branches abruptly close with little information offered to its customers.

All staff members were told not to speak to the press, and it looked as if the brand would cease to exist.

However an eleventh hour deal to save the chain was struck by Bargain Buys, a subsidiary of Poundstretcher, and the Hucknall store reopened in September.

Speaking exclusively to Hucknall Nub News, store manager John Bradbury said: "For those who are not aware, Bargain Buys Properties brought the trading name JTF back in September and we opened the store with 700 pallets within 9 days.

"We have loyal customers who have since come back to re-register with ourselves (which is free). And we understand January is a challenging month for many as well as a long month. So we thought we would give something back.

"We decided to give everybody an extra 20% off on everything in store until the 31st January. This includes food, cleaning, toiletries, pet, heating, etc as well as the 20% off we already have on toys, plastic storage, duvet sets and cushions.

"To reward our loyal customers and followers, what's better than a trolley dash. All they've got to do to enter is go onto the JTF Hucknall Facebook page and like the post, comment their name. And it will be drawn at random. Good luck to all who enter."
