An investigation is underway into the behaviour of Hucknall Town supporters at the club's opening league game of the season at home to Lutterworth Athletic.
A statement on Hucknall Town's website reads: "The club would like to make a statement regarding a number of incidents at the home match against Lutterworth Athletic on Saturday 7th August 2021.
"An internal investigation along with an investigation by the Nottinghamshire FA is underway which is detrimental to the club's good reputation in recent years.
"The majority of our supporters conduct themselves in a way that is conducive to Hucknall Town FC being a community and family orientated club. We would like to place on record that the football club does not condone the language or behaviour witnessed on Saturday. Any future incidents will result in spectator bans and individual long term sanctions.
"The club will not be making any further comment."
A source who wishes to remain anonymous, told Hucknall Nub News that sexist chants were directed at the Lutterworth physio when she took to the pitch to treat an injured player.
There was also reportedly a physical altercation between a group of Hucknall fans.
A crowd of over 200 people flocked to Watnall Road to see The Yellows record a 2-1 victory thanks to a brace from new signing Craig Westcarr.
