Fast food chain KFC plans to open a new branch in Hucknall according to its website.

The fried chicken restaurant revealed a list of over 400 target locations, as it looks to add to the number of outlets it has in the UK which currently stands at around 1000. This list shows that the company has identified Hucknall as one of its target areas.

On the KFC website, it says: "Target Locations are all of the spots across the UK & Ireland that we're looking to open restaurants."

There aren't many details about the Hucknall branch yet but it is earmarked to be a Drive Thru.

Currently, the closest KFC to Hucknall is less than three miles away in Bulwell.

The news comes just over two years after fast food rival McDonald's opened a 24 hour restaurant in Hucknall on Ashgate Road, creating around 70 jobs.
