A teenage girl, last seen in Hucknall, who had been missing since Saturday (23 July), has been found safe.

Evie Wilmott, 14, had last been seen on Saturday evening at Hucknall train and tram station on Station Terrace.

Nottinghamshire Police had been concerned for her welfare and asked the public to call 101 if they saw her or had any information about where she might be.

It was confirmed that Evie had links to the areas of Mansfield and Hucknall as well as Leicestershire and Derbyshire. There was a suggestion that she might be travelling outside of the East Midlands by rail or coach.

However, earlier this morning (Tuesday 26 July) Nottinghamshire Police released an update on social media which read: "Evie, who was reported as missing from the Hucknall area on the 23rd July 2022, has been located safely.

"Thank you to those that assisted us in our investigation."
