Hucknall residents wanting to engage with local police about criminal activities and issues in the town are being encouraged to take a quick survey.

It has been set by new local district commander for Ashfield, Inspector Jon Hewitt, who only started in the post at the beginning of the month.

Once analysed, the results of the survey, which can be done anonymously, will be used to help the neighbourhood policing teams in Ashfield set their main priorities.

A link to the survey was first put on Ashfield Police's Facebook page on Saturday night, however, so far there has been little engagement from the people of Hucknall.

Speaking exclusively to Hucknall Nub News, Inspector Hewitt said: "Of the early responders the uptake from the Hucknall area has been limited. I am keen to fully understand the issues that matter most to all communities across the Ashfield district so would ask you please take 5 minutes to complete it."

The survey can be accessed by clicking here.
