Police appealing for witnesses after woman assaulted in Hucknall in early hours of Sunday morning

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted in Hucknall at the weekend.

The assault happened outside the Half Moon pub in South Street, opposite the market, at around 1.30am on Sunday morning (10 July).

The victim, aged in her 40s, was treated in hospital for facial injures.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed what happened or has mobile phone footage of the incident as they try to determine the sequence of events leading up to, during, and immediately after the assault.

Detective Constable Ryan Lambert, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "The victim in this case suffered a significant facial injury and we are determined to get (to) the bottom of what happened.

"We are urging any witnesses who have not yet spoken to us to come forward. We would particularly like to hear from anyone with video footage of what happened."

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 68 of 10 July.
