Police appealing for witnesses following Hucknall High Street assault in early hours of Sunday morning

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following an assault in Hucknall High Street in the early hours of Sunday morning (5th September).

The incident happened on the pedestrianised part of the street between H20 Bar & Lounge and Bibiana Indian restaurant.

A spokesperson from Nottinghamshire Police said: "Police were called to High Street, Hucknall, shortly before 1am on Sunday morning following reports of an assault. A man was treated in hospital for facial injuries but has since been released."

No arrests have yet been made but investigations are ongoing and anyone with additional information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 51 of 5 September.
