Police in Hucknall made two arrests after finding a quantity of suspected Class A drugs at an address in the town last week.

Officers from Hucknall Beat Team conducted a warrant on an address in Portland Road in Hucknall at around 6pm on Thursday (1 June).

A quantity of suspected Class A drugs were found within the property, as well as cash, drugs paraphernalia, and weapons.

Two people, a 17-year-old boy and a 44-year-old man, were arrested in connection with the findings of the warrant; they were later released under investigation.

The warrant was carried out after the police had received numerous reports about illegal activity being present at the address.

A statement on Ashfield Police's Facebook page said: "Thank you to the local community for reporting information regarding illegal activity at the address, as this was used to support applying for and being granted a warrant for the address.

"Please keep reporting in any illegal activity or concerns you may have within Hucknall."
