Tickets are still on sale for the Ghostbusters fan event at The Arc Cinema in Hucknall next Thursday (18 November).

This comes after the cinema confirmed they would be putting on four 'event screenings' due to popular demand.

As well as seeing the newest film from the franchise, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, on its release date, there will be an opportunity for ticketholders to have their photograph taken in a replica Ecto-1, the car from the films, which the cinema have hired, and will be parked outside during the evening.

East Midlands Ghostbusters will also be making an appearance and as well as posing for photographs will be collecting donations for one of their nominated charities.

The film will be shown at 4:30pm, 6:10pm, 6:20pm and 6:40pm.

Speaking exclusively to Hucknall Nub News, cinema manager Mark Gallagher said: "To get the Ecto-1 here next Thursday has cost us a lot of money; we needed to sell 70 tickets to cover the cost of the car.

"We initially put two screens on, and I was a little bit apprehensive that we wouldn't fill them, and they sold out within two days, so we had to put a third screening on.

"That's sold out nearly and so I really wanted to put a fourth one on but that many people all in a real short space of time would have been a bit chaotic for us.

"I got in touch with the owner of the Ecto-1, and he's very kindly agreed to come earlier that day, so we have now got a fourth screening on at 4:30 which is great timing for those finishing school. Hopefully lots of parents out there will want to now bring their kids along.

"The car will be parked outside from 4pm until about 7pm on Thursday. If you've got a ticket for one of the special screenings as well as go see the film, you get to sit in the car have a professional photo taken with the East Midlands ghostbusters.

"Ticketholders will also get an exclusive goody bag that we've put together ourselves which contains stickers, postcards and a souvenir poster and then we do have 20 merchandise packs from Sony Pictures in LA. They've been shipped over especially for us. As far as I'm aware no other cinema in the country's got that many of these, and we'll be doing a raffle so everyone who buys a ticket will get a raffle ticket and we'll be giving them away.

"It's a really exciting night, I'm really looking forward to it."

Tickets are priced at £15.75 each for adults and £12.75 each for children.
