Two men have been charged with robbery after an off-licence was targeted in Hucknall.

The incident happened just after 6pm on Saturday 7 January, at a business in Watnall Road.

A man entered the store and approached the till with his hand in his pocket claiming that he had a knife. He then pushed the shopkeeper and took cash from the till, whilst a second man remained nearby the shop while the robbery took place.

Shaun Staniland, 55, of no fixed address, and Liam Worton, aged 30, of Chatsworth Drive, Hucknall, which is between Watnall Road and Croft Avenue, have both been charged with robbery and shop theft and remanded into custody.

Detective Sergeant Andrea Brown, who was investigating the incident, said: "Robbery has a massive impact on victims.

"This was a real team effort across different teams to locate the suspects quickly. Two men have now been charged in relation to this incident."
