Industrial action scheduled to take place over the next few days that was due to affect East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) has been postponed.

The GMB, Unison and Unite trade unions have informed their members that they have postponed the industrial action scheduled for Monday 20 and Tuesday 21 March 2023, as a mutually agreeable pay deal has been reached with the Government, along with other health service unions, which will now be put to their members for a period of consultation.

As a result of this news, Unison have also postponed their additional planned Action Short of Strike (ASOS) which was scheduled to take place from Saturday (18 March) until Thursday (23 March).

EMAS confirmed that they would therefore be standing down arrangements made to respond to industrial action next week.

A statement from EMAS, concluded: "We are grateful to all our colleagues and trade union representatives across EMAS for their professionalism and collaboration throughout industrial action to date, to ensure we could continue to respond to patients in need of an emergency response."
