It is a cloudy start in Hucknall this morning which will change to heavy rain by late morning. Temperatures will reach highs of 10 degrees but it will feel colder than this.

Things to do

There is a craft group that takes places every Monday in the library on South Street from 10am-1pm

Traffic

Despite roadworks on Papplewick Lane, there are no major traffic issues in Hucknall this morning and the M1 is clear at Junction 27 with traffic flowing nicely.

In case you missed it:

A man reported missing from the Hucknall area on Friday (29 October) was found safe and well that evening.

Brand new play equipment in Hucknall's Titchfield Park had to be closed at the weekend due to health and safety concerns.

Fun fact of the day:

Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstein when she 18, during a ghost story competition while staying in Switzerland with writers Percy Shelley and Lord Byron.
