It is a dull start in Hucknall this morning with heavy rain expected for much of the day. Temperatures remain cooler than last week with highs of 15 degrees.

Rattle, Rhyme and Roll sessions: relaxed, friendly rhyme sessions for babies and toddlers at the library from 10:30am-11am.

Traffic

There are no major traffic issues in Hucknall this morning and the M1 is clear at junction 27 with traffic flowing nicely.

Both of the petrol stations in Hucknall were completely out of fuel yesterday due to panic buying. Look out for updates on our site today as and when the situation changes.

Fun fact of the day:

The inventor of the microwave appliance only received $2 for his discovery. Percy Spencer had the idea whilst working as a researcher for the company now known as Raytheon. However, the company filed the patent and Spencer received a $2 bonus but never any royalties.
