There are no major traffic issues in Hucknall this morning and the M1 is clear at Junction 27 with traffic flowing nicely.

Ashfield District Council have opened the public consultation process on their Local Plan which includes proposals to build 3000 houses on Whyburn Farm in Hucknall .

Contactless payments methods can now be used at every tram stop .

Fun fact of the day:

Flamingos are only pink because of chemicals called carotenoids in the algae and fish (which also eat the algae) they eat; their feathers are greyish white when they're born.
