It is an overcast start in Hucknall this morning and it is expected to remain that way for much of the morning. However, this will change to heavy rain by late morning. Temperatures will reach highs of 9 degrees.

Hucknall Taking Steps walking group 'wilder places' intermediate walk. Meet outside the library on South Street at 9:50am for a 10:00 departure.

Traffic

There are major roadworks on Annesley Road. The road is closed from the junction of Spring Street which is causing major disruption. Avoid if possible.

There are roadworks on Papplewick Lane but they are not causing significant congestion.

The M1 is clear at Junction 27 with traffic flowing nicely.

In case you missed it:

The £15.7 million council offices to be built on the edge of Hucknall have been official given the green light to go ahead.

NET have reduced the price of their weekly tickets during November to coincide with COP26.
