What's On in Hucknall this weekend?

As more and more events are being organised locally, Nub News is launching a new weekly roundup of what's on in Hucknall each weekend.

Every Thursday we'll bring you our top picks of what to do in Hucknall over the coming weekend.

If you or someone you know is organising an event don't forget to nub it for free in our what's on section here. Just click the black 'Nub it' button, fill in the form and click submit, it should only take around three minutes to complete.

Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

1. Hucknall defibrillator fund raising event.

At George Street WMC there will be a range of musical entertainment as well as a raffle and tombola on Friday 8 October. All proceeds go towards purchasing a defibrillator for Hucknall.

Doors open at 7pm, entry and parking are free.

  1. Tabletop Sale.

The Salvation Army are holding a tabletop sale on Saturday 9 October from 9am-12pm. There will be a selection of books and bric-a-brac. Tea and coffee will also be served. The church is on Hucknall High Street next to the Arc Cinema.

  1. Opera at The Arc Cinema.

The Arc Cinema in Hucknall will be broadcasting a series of live opera performances in HD over the coming months from The Metropolitan Opera Company based in New York.

The first opera will be Boris Godunov which will be shown this Saturday (9 October) at 5:55pm.

Tickets are priced at £17.95 for adults and £16.95 for seniors.
