As more and more events are being organised locally, Nub News is launching a new weekly roundup of what's on in Hucknall each weekend.

Every Thursday we'll bring you our top picks of what to do in Hucknall over the coming weekend.

Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

1. House of Pain Wrestling.

Wrestling returns to George Street WMC in Hucknall on Friday 15

October. Doors open at 7pm with the first bell at 7:30pm. Tickets cost

£5.

2. Public meeting to discuss the council's Local Plan.

The John Godber Centre will host a public meeting to discuss

Ashfield District Council's Local Plan which includes controversial

plans to build 3000 houses on Whyburn Farm. The meeting will be

held on Saturday 16 October from 10:30am until 12pm in the upstairs

meeting room. Access is from the rear of the building only.
