As more and more events are being organised locally, Nub News is launching a new weekly roundup of what's on in Hucknall each weekend.

Every Thursday we'll bring you our top picks of what to do in Hucknall over the coming weekend.

Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

  1. Alex Voysey Blues Band.

Live music returns to The John Godber Centre on Friday 12 November at 7:30pm as Alex Voysey Blues Band bring their new show 'Old Dogs, New Tricks' to Hucknall. Adult Tickets are £10 in advance and £12 on the door. Tickets for under 16s are priced at £5 each.

  1. Lapwings WI Autumn Craft Fair.

Held at Papplewick Village Hall on Saturday 13 November from 10am until 3pm the fair boasts a range of items for sale including jewellery and homemade cards. Refreshments will be available on the day. Free entry.

  1. Community Walk.

Hucknall Against Whyburn Farm Development (HAWFD) are hosting a community walk on the greenbelt land which is currently threatened by a substantial housing development. The walk begins at 2:30pm on Saturday 13 November. There is a cake sale and raffle following the walk to raise funds for the campaign.
