Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

1.     Charity football match, The Engine Rooms, Watnall Road, Hucknall.

Papplewick All Stars take on Kimberley All Stars on Friday night (4 November) with proceeds from ticket sales going to support Vicky McClure's dementia choir. Kick-off is at 7:45pm.

2.     Bonfire and Fireworks Night, Papplewick and Linby Village Hall.

After a three-year hiatus, the bonfire and fireworks night returns to Papplewick on Saturday night (5 November). As well as a spectacular fireworks display, there will be a bonfire and refreshments including burgers and hot dogs, mushy peas and a licensed bar.

3.     Service of Hope and Remembrance, Church of St Mary Magdalene, Hucknall.

On Sunday evening (6 November), there is a service for all the recently bereaved families in the parish.
