What's On in Hucknall this weekend: Beer Festival, Live Music and more

Good morning, and welcome to your weekly what's on in Hucknall.
Every week, we'll bring you our top picks of what to do in and around the town over the coming weekend.

Here are our top event picks for the coming days:
Thursday 9 February-Sunday 12 February
Hucknall Beer Festival, The John Godber Centre, Ogle Street.
Hucknall Beer Festival returns after a two-year break Friday 10 February- Sunday 12 February with a special preview ticket evening Thursday 9 February.
There will be food and a licensed bar (for the non-ale and cider fans) all weekend with live music from the Blurred Mondays Saturday evening.
The event will also host The Spyke Golding Challenge, a new competition to celebrate the Nottinghamshire brewer with the best new beer produced for and judged at the festival.
Judging will be by Hucknall Beer Festival attendees with the winner announced during the festival.
Thursday 9 February
Live comedy, Griffins Head, Moor Road, Papplewick.
Funhouse Comedy Club is back at The Griffins Head, Papplewick for more fun and laughter.
Topping the bill is Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2018 and finalist in British Comedian of the Year 2022, the cheeky Jack Gleadow, hailing from Hull and claiming to have illegitimate Chuckle Brothers heritage, he is one of the most unique performers on the UK comedy circuit today.
Opening the night will be Alun Cochrane who has appeared on numerous TV shows including Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow, Russell Howard's Good News, and Mock The Week.
Dawn Bailey and Anthony Williams complete the line-up.
Tickets are £12 each.
Friday 10 February- Saturday 11 February
Live music, Hucknall Liberal Club, West Street.
Hucknall Liberal Club welcomes talented vocalists Steve Andrews (Friday 10 February) and Tony Walsh (Saturday 11 February) to perform live this weekend.
Saturday 11 February
Coffee, cakes and crafts, St Michael's Church, Linby.
St Michael's Church in Linby is hosting a morning of coffee, cake and crafts on Saturday.
A range of cakes and crafts will be for sale whilst tea and coffee will be free. There will also be access to historic registers for those interested in ancestry.
All proceeds go to St Michael's Church.
