Hucknall's teenage racing sensation Ruben Hage was satisfied with the conclusion to his Junior Saloon Car Championship (JSCC) campaign at Brands Hatch the weekend before last.

The 16-year-old claimed two fourth place finishes, agonisingly missing out on a podium in race one by a meagre 0.1 seconds after an intense, clean race long battle.

Mrs Henry (Con) was questioned over the way she engages with the public at a Police and Crime Panel meeting on Monday, November 15.

Ashfield's MP has lodged a formal complaint after he was called a "f*****g moron" by the district council leader during a private local plan meeting.

Lee Anderson, the district's Conservative MP, submitted the complaint to Ashfield District Council after being told the comment was made about him in the behind-closed-doors meeting last week.

The senior firefighter who commanded the scene of the industrial estate fire on Wigwam Lane yesterday (Sunday 14 November) has praised the work of the crews who helped contain and extinguish the blaze.

Thick black smoke could be seen billowing across the town of Hucknall from around 2pm yesterday and crews worked through the night to contain and extinguish the fire which it has been confirmed started around the back of Paul Wainwright's Construction yard.

Hucknall residents gathered at Titchfield Park yesterday (Sunday 14 November) to remember those who died in the two world wars and other subsequent military conflicts.

The ceremony took place on a smaller scale than previous years with a parade beginning at Titchfield Park Cafe in which local cadet groups and a band marched down to the cenotaph at the bottom of the park.
