Hucknall Town have announced their pre-season schedule with a number of local mouth watering friendlies to prepare themselves for their league campaign.

The Yellows will play a total of five home friendlies in the month of July with each game open to fans and very reasonably priced. Adults will pay just £3 to watch the side whilst for children entry will be £1 with concessions tickets priced in between at £2.

The map shows how the constituency of Sherwood will look if the proposals are approved.

Hucknall will remain in the constituency of Sherwood under proposals published today by the Boundary Commission for England.

The plans are now in an eight week consultation period in which people are invited to give their views on the proposals. This feedback will be published and a secondary consultation process will begin early next year before the final report and recommendations are submitted and published in the summer of 2023.

Hucknall Town's move away from Watnall Road could happen as early as next year according to officials at the club.

The Yellows will move to a newly built ground on Aerial Way once a deal to buy the land that their current ground sits on has been completed. This is looking more likely now that supermarket chain Lidl are close to purchasing the site.

A touring dessert business will visit Hucknall for the first time tonight.

Natasha Tighe's Queen of Desserts business operates out of a mobile 23 foot bus, which is a former London Dial-a Ride bus and has been travelling around Ashfield selling sweet treats for the last four weeks.

A Hucknall based bowls club held an open day for people to try their hand at the sport on Bank Holiday Monday.

Titchfield Park Bowls Club on Park Drive, which was established in 1935, hosted the event to encourage more people to take up the sport. It formed part of Bowls England's national campaign called Bowls Big Weekend, an initiative that affiliated clubs across the country signed up to in order to help boost the sport's popularity.

A Hucknall based businessman has launched an app that allows people to select and order takeaways from an array of local eateries in the town.

Steve Hodgkinson founded Hucknall Eats four weeks ago with the aim of helping encourage people to buy their takeaways from local businesses. At present, they have 24 local establishments signed up.
