Hucknall Town confirm pre-season schedule which begins tonight with away trip to Eastwood
Hucknall Town have announced their pre-season calendar which begins with an away trip to Eastwood CFC this evening (Wednesday 6 July).
The Yellows will play five matches in the space of two and a half weeks as they look to prepare themselves for this season's Uhlsport United Counties League Division One campaign.
They begin with a trip to Halbrooke Stadium tonight to face an Eastwood side who play one step above them after earning promotion a couple of seasons ago. The game kicks off at 8PM.
This will be followed by three home matches within the space of a week. The first of these will see neighbours Linby Colliery Welfare FC visit Watnall Road on Saturday (9 July). After this comes a game against Derbyshire based Cromford & Wirksworth Town FC next Wednesday (13 July) before the home friendlies conclude with Shirebrook FC making the journey to Hucknall four days later (Saturday 16 July).
Pre-season finishes with a trip to North Yorkshire to face Redcar Town a week later (Saturday 23 July).
There have been significant changes to the coaching team at Hucknall after last season's play-off heartbreak when they were beaten 3-0 by AFC Hinckley in the semi-finals.
Manager Andy Graves and his assistant Paul Stevenson resigned after the defeat and Hucknall's board acted quickly to bring in Andy Ingle as manager with Michael Banister joining as a coach after retiring from playing at the end of last season.
The season itself gets underway on Saturday 30 July with Hucknall starting with an away match against Holwell Sports.
