Hucknall Town's full fixture list for the forthcoming league season has been released.

The Yellows will once again play in the Uhlsport United Counties League Division One after narrowly missing out on promotion last season following defeat in the play-off semi-finals.

It is just over a week until the season begins, with Hucknall opening with an away trip to Holwell Sports on Saturday 30 July which kicks off at the unconventional time of 4:45pm.

Their first home game is a week later (Saturday 6 August) as they welcome St Andrews to Watnall Road. They then host Dunkirk four days later (Wednesday 10 August).

In October there looks a potentially tough run of fixtures as Hucknall have three home games in seven days against teams that finished around them in the league last year.

It starts on Saturday 8 October when Kirby Muxloe, who finished ninth in the last campaign, come to town. This is followed by a game against Radford who finished a place higher than Hucknall in fourth and also lost in the play-off semi-finals last season. Three days later sees the visit of Aylestone Park who Hucknall pipped to the last place in the play-offs on the final day of the last campaign.

At a similar time of the year, Hucknall are expecting to move grounds and leave Watnall Road for the newly built RM Stadium on Aerial Way. An update on the exact moving date is expected soon from the club. In the meantime, they have asked fans not to visit the ground until it officially opens.

Boxing Day sees Hucknall visit nearby Blidworth Welfare who have moved into the league this season.

The campaign draws to a close on Saturday 15 April away at Barrow Town.

As well as a change of ground, Hucknall begin the season with a new man in the dugout as Andy Ingle steps into the managerial hotseat after Andy Graves' nine-year tenure came to a close when he resigned follow play-off defeat to Hinckley.

Newly retired Michael Banister has joined Ingle's coaching team. He recently spoke exclusively to Hucknall Nub News about his playing career and his thoughts ahead of the new season, this can be read here.
