Frontline ambulance crews in Nottinghamshire can now refer patients directly to Nottinghamshire Hospice for intervention at night to prevent emergency admission to hospital.

In a scheme launched recently and trialled since February, crews attending end of life patients can contact the hospice to arrange an urgent visit from the hospice night support teams, to help families care for their loved ones at home.

Four people have been arrested in connection with an incident just outside Hucknall that left a man in hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A 'devious and dishonest conman' who used sexual photographs to blackmail and control a series of women has been jailed.

Lewis Saxby, 32, who used to be the manager of local football club Linby Colliery Welfare, had sexual contact with the victims before threatening to send explicit images to their friends and family if they didn't do what he told them.
