Hucknall's 1803 RAF Air Cadet Squadron have taken part in a drive to collect for a local food bank, in conjunction with the Fire Service.

The twelve recruits, who have recently joined, must complete a Pre-Duke of Edinburgh task in order to be enrolled into the ranks of the squadron. Usually, this is done by attending parades and events such as the Remembrance Day Service, however, the ongoing pandemic has made this difficult, so the organisation has been forced to take a different route.

Proposals drawn up by Nottinghamshire County Council for an injection of up to £1.3m to support people to be discharged safely from hospital across the county will be put forward at a meeting of the Adult Social Care and Public Health Committee today (Monday 13 December).

The plans have been drawn up as what is expected to be one of the most challenging winter periods on record draws near.

Hucknall Town manager Andy Graves was relieved that his side were able to take advantage of an early sending off for their opponents Graham Street Prims to run out 5-2 winners at Watnall Road on Saturday (11 December).

Goals from Craig Westcarr, Louis Kinnerley, Aaron Lamb, Jordan Phillips and Joe Ashurst helped Hucknall secure all three points and they now sit sixth in the league table, just three points adrift of the playoff places.
