Former Rugby League star Kevin Sinfield will run through Hucknall today (22 November) as part of his fundraiser, 'The Extra Mile Challenge', for motor neurone disease research.

Sinfield, 41, is running 101 miles in 24 hours, starting at Welford Road, the home of Leicester Tigers, where he is currently a coach, and finishing at Headingley home of Leeds Rhinos for whom he made 521 appearances for in a near 20 year career.

Hucknall tram passengers face the possibility of further disruption across the network after members of the workers' union GMB announced another 24 hour strike, which will take place next Tuesday (23 November), following a dispute over pay.

This news comes just a couple of weeks after the first strike which took place on Saturday 6 November and forced NET, who operate the trams, to cancel all services.
