A Hucknall woman whose son died just a few hours after birth is looking for stallholders to help her raise funds at a charity fun day she is organising in his memory.

Natalie Needham is looking to raise funds for 4Louis, a charity that supports families through miscarriage stillbirth and child loss, at the event which will take place in July at Hucknall Town Football Club.

Mrs Needham and her husband received a 4Louis box from the hospital after their son Kouper passed away. In her own words, "the box brought great comfort to us and our four children."

Following a textbook pregnancy, all seemed well after birth until Kouper became drowsy and blue. Despite Mr and Mrs Needham expressing their concerns, Kouper was discharged a few hours later. After putting him to bed, a few hours later they found him lifeless and unresponsive. They tried to revive him but despite their best efforts, they were unsuccessful and Kouper was pronounced dead in their home.

Throughout the grieving process, it was the 4Louis box that contained personal memories such as handprints, footprints and a lock of hair that helped the Needham family massively.

Now, on the Sunday (17 July), nearest to what would have been Kouper's third birthday, the Needhams are organising an event which will include shopping stalls, a raffle, a tombola and face painting for children.

Entry to the event will cost £1 per adult and will be free for children. All money raised will be donated to the charity 4Louis so they can continue to provide memory boxes for bereaved families.

There is still time for people potentially interested in running a stall, to get involved.

Natalie said: "We would love small businesses to join our day to celebrate our son's short life. Booking a stall will help to fund precious memory boxes whilst getting your business seen by many. We hope you can join us and support our day."
