A Hucknall resident captured these stunning images of Hucknall's Dob Park lightly covered in snow this morning.

Tania Berry regularly walks the area which neighbours the green belt land of Whyburn Farm.

Whyburn Farm has been included in Ashfield District Council's controversial Local Plan as a site for 3000 houses to be built upon.

Speaking exclusively to Hucknall Nub News, Tania said: "It's a nature park which requires the surrounding farmland to sustain it.

"I walk around Dob Park most days with my dogs. I have always taken photos, it's a record of better and beautiful times, why wouldn't you?

"Dob park is a very beautiful place. More so when you know it intimately.

"I took the picture because the contrast of Larches and snow. I have never seen the Larches still in Autumn Colours and snow at the same time. I had to take a picture and show people how beautiful Hucknall can be and what they could lose."

The Local Plan has been met with outrage from Hucknall residents and over 7500 people have signed a petition opposing the proposals.

This opposition, along with a cross-party motion from opposition Labour and Conservative councillors, calling for the draft local plan to be re-drawn, are set to be discussed in the next full District Council meeting, which will take place this Thursday (2 December).
