There will be a second Hucknall Food and Drink Festival this year, Ashfield District Council has confirmed.

This news follows on from the success of Hucknall's inaugural food and drink festival, which was held in August, where 4000 people attended across the day .

The festival will return to the town centre on Sunday 21 November.

In a short message posted on the council's Twitter feed, Councillor Samantha Deakin said: "…it was a roaring success (the last Food and Drink Festival) and because of that, what we want to do, we want to bring you another one back just before Christmas."

In August the event organised by Ashfield District Council, with partners Discover Ashfield and Lincoln Green Brewery, ran from 10am-5pm.

It boasted a total of 26 stalls which offered customers the chance to sample and buy a range of food and preserves such as pizza, crepes, cheese, cakes, doughnuts, cookies, jam, and honey. Along with the variety of food, were stalls offering craft beers, cider, rum, and gin.

It is unclear at this stage if the second festival will be a similar size to the first but if the stallholders offer similar products, it will potentially make a good place for Hucknall residents to purchase Christmas presents.
