Hucknall High Street will be graced by a performance from the ever-popular Dancing Grannies as the troupe comes to the town on Sunday 21 November.

Performing outside the Specsavers store on the high street, the aged shape-shifting trio will also be on hand to officially open the newly expanded store.

The energetic Dancing Grannies always bring entertainment to the local community and will be outside the store from 11:00am.

The date of their performance coincides with the second Hucknall Food & Drink Festival which will once again boast a range of stalls selling local produce.

Hucknall Specsavers store director, Janet Archer, said: "Business has grown significantly in recent years, and we've listened to feedback from customers that we need a bigger store. We're really excited about the transformation. We're delighted the expansion is now complete and the Dancing Grannies will be with us to celebrate in style.

"Our priority with the expansion was to further enhance our in-store experience. With two new downstairs test rooms, new seating area and a dedicated space for collection and aftercare we're sure our customers will reap the benefits.

"Given the challenges of the last year or so and the fact the expansion was delayed due to the pandemic it feels even more important to be able to mark the occasion."
