The very first Hucknall Food and Drink Festival will take place on Sunday (22nd August) on the pedestrianised part of the High Street.

Ashfield District Council, with partners Discover Ashfield and Lincoln Green Brewery, are putting on the event which has no charge for admission and will run from 10am – 5pm.

There will be a wide range of stalls all of which are detailed here .

Speaking exclusively to Hucknall Nub News, Anthony Hughes, founder of Lincoln Green Brewery, said: "It will have about 30 traders in total which is a fantastic achievement considering this is our first ever event and there's been so much doubt around events of late with Covid. I think that the more people that attend, the more likely we are to be able to run this on an annual basis. We want to do more of these, and we want to attract as many people as we possibly can to the great town of Hucknall."

Even though social distancing restrictions have been eased, the organisers have still put measures in place to try to make everyone feel as comfortable as possible whilst they are at the festival.

Mr Hughes continued: "As part of the preparations all of the traders have been asked to complete a Covid risk assessment to make sure they've got things like hand sanitisers available on the stalls so we're still trying to make sure people are as safe as they possibly can be."
