Hucknall Leisure Centre's brand new fitness suite will open on Monday (9th August). It has been transformed as part of the £20millon investment into the District's leisure centres by Ashfield District Council and Everyone Active.

The state-of-the-art fitness suite has been relocated into a larger space to accommodate the new equipment which includes: all new Technogym equipment; a functional training area; an Olympic power rack; Watt bikes; climbers and plate loaded equipment.

These works follow the recent updates to Hucknall Leisure Centre: a fresh new reception area with new café provision, new toilet facilities and a refresh for the existing squash courts.

Work will soon begin on the £2.7million second swimming pool, new changing village, and additional car parking.

Cllr Rachel Madden, Cabinet Member for Leisure, Health and Wellbeing, said: "The new fitness suite at Hucknall Leisure Centre is amazing. This will make a real difference to residents who now have access to state-of-the-art facilities and equipment which have something to suit everyone.

Simon Fearn, Everyone Active's regional contract manager, said "The new fitness suite at Hucknall is looking fantastic and will serve the community's needs for years to come.

"We are really excited by the prospect of opening it up and are confident customers will love using the top-of-the-range equipment in there.

"This is such an exciting time for leisure provision in Ashfield and the opening of the fitness suite at Hucknall is just the latest step."
