A property on Hucknall High Street which went under the hammer at an online auction this week has sold for £149,000.

Number 11/11A High Street which comprises a shop with a self-contained maisonette above it, had a guide price of £135,000.

However, the property, part of which is currently being let by Hucknall Mobile Repairs, ended up selling for £14,000 more than its guide price on Wednesday (8 December).

Speaking exclusively to Hucknall Nub News, George Walker, Partner at Allsop, the auctioneers, said: "Our client was delighted with the result, on a day when we had over 350 bidders competing for the 118 properties that were sold.

"There was most demand for smaller mixed use shops and flats such as this as investors are looking for get some reliable income streams."

Based on the current agreements in place the tenants of the shop and the maisonette pay a combined £14,700 per annum.
