Two Hucknall residents have been fined for attending a party, held during Covid-19 restrictions around the same time as the alleged Government parties in 2020.

Court documents seen by the Local Democracy Reporting Service show that individuals connected to at least seven illegal party incidents – held in Derbyshire in the days around the Downing Street parties claims – were prosecuted.

On Friday 11 December 2020 – one day after the alleged education department party – dozens of people attended an illegal lockdown rave under the A38 underpass near Farmwell Lane in South Normanton.

Among the attendees were Chloe Etches and Nathaniel Broome both of whom live in Hucknall.

Ms Etches, aged 27, of Portland Road, was made to pay out total costs of £574, of which £440 was a fine, £90 was for court costs and a £44 victim surcharge.

Mr Broome, aged 26, of Balmoral Grove, just off Buckingham Avenue, was made to pay out total costs of £344, with court fees and a victim surcharge at a closed doors hearing last week.
