Hucknall Library has been forced to close early today (Thursday 6 January) at 4pm because of a heating issue.

The library normally closes at 6pm on Thursdays but the decision was taken to close two hours early in order to fix the issue.

Inspire which runs the library on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council expects it to open at 9am tomorrow morning (Friday 7 January) as normal.

In a statement, they said: "Due to a heating issue, Hucknall library will be closing early today at 4pm. The library will re-open at 9am on Friday 7 January.

"We apologise for any inconvenience."

The library only reopened on Tuesday (4 January) after being closed for just under two weeks for Christmas.
