A pub in Hucknall is hosting a dog show this Bank Holiday weekend.
The Station Hotel, owned and operated by Lincoln Green Brewing Company on Station Terrace, which has an established reputation as a dog friendly venue, is inviting dog owners to sign up to take part in the fun filled day on Saturday (27 May).
Hosted by Midlands Mutts founder and owner Ellie Batey, there will be three different events staged in the enclosed outdoor area at the front and side of the pub.
This includes an obstacle course which will be held from 1pm until 2pm, a sprint race from 2:30pm until 3:30pm, and a best in Hucknall show from 4:00 until 5:00.
There will also be a barbecue as well as items on sale from local company Barking Bath.
Speaking exclusively to Hucknall Nub News, Jordan Fretwell, trainee supervisor said: "Dogs are at the heart of The Station Hotel as we're a very dog-friendly pub. We have so many regulars and everybody gets to know them.
"We thought doing this to celebrate all the dogs that come to visit us would be something different. It's family friendly, fun and helps to bring people here and let people know dogs are always welcome. We are also able to support local businesses in doing so."
Owners wishing to enter their dogs are asked to sign up in advance, if at all possible, to help make the day run as smooth as possible. There is no entry fee.
