Hucknall Arc Cinema's Ghostbusters event evening proved popular on Thursday night (18 November).

There were four screenings of the film, three of which were completely sold out.

As well as seeing the newest film from the franchise, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, on its release date, ticketholders were able to have their photograph taken next to or in a replica Ecto-1, the car from the films.

There was also an appearance by the East Midlands Ghostbusters who were fundraising for their chosen charities.

This created massive interest outside the cinema with man people gathering round to get a glimpse of the vehicle.

Speaking to Hucknall Nub News, Cinema Manager, Mark Gallagher said: "The atmosphere was electric, it was almost like a festival. It was really really fun. Everyone was so appreciative of what we've done, thanking me for putting this event on when really, I'm thankful for the people of Hucknall for coming, spending their money, and supporting us.

"I'm so grateful for all the kind words. It was just really well supported. Now we've done two events: Bond and this, we've definitely got a taste, we're going to be planning some more; I think this is the future."
